Everyone says a friend
Is supposed to be the one person you can tell

When I open my mouth
They shut me up
Dismiss my voice
As if I don't deserve a choice
When they ask a question
They expect a 'real' answer
So I state my opinion
And I'm instantly turned down!
Their fake smiles turning to frowns
Saying I should be 'honest'
Because if they don't want to hear it
Oh no!
It can't be true!
Oh no! Oh no! Because friends must be the same!
It just wouldn't be fair!
If I was any different
If I don't try to follow the crowd
Afraid of being left behind
Then I'm fake?
Because I'm different?
